Cricket stadium ground to be opened today

 GUWAHATI, Nov 3 – The ground of Assam Cricket Association’s Barsapara stadium will be inaugurated tomorrow with the East Zone Assam-Odisha Senior Women Inter State One-day match.

Apart from two stands, the other construction works of the stadium are almost completed. The outfield and the wicket is ready for competitive matches. The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has proposed to hold four matches of this championship in the newly built stadium.

State PHE Minister Gautom Roy, who is also the president of ACA, Sports Minister Ajit Singh along with a host of former players and officials of district sports association will be present on the occasion.

The match will begin at 8.30 am following the opening ceremony.
