CPM demands roll back of petrol price

 NAGAON, May 27 – The Nagaon district unit of CPM took out a procession against the recent increase of petroleum prices and demanded its roll back. They marched through the main thoroughfares of the town shouting slogans and submitted a memorandum to the authority

In support of Akhil Gogoi’s indefinite fast , Nagaon district the committe of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti organised a fast at Swahid Bhawan from May 20 last. On May 23 a number of organisations including KMSS ,AGP, AJYCP staged dharna at the office of DC Nagaon. In the beginning they took out a procession which was led by Raju Baruah, president of the KMSS.

Their demand include stopping construction of big dam , permission to establish inspection camp at Ghagar Nagar, release of the arrested supporters of anti dam agitation etc.
