Assam Cricket Academy opened

 GUWAHATI, May 25 – A dream project has finally came to true as the Assam Cricket Academy, set up by Assam Cricket Association (ACA), was inaugurated at the RG Baruah Sports Complex here today.

ACA vice president Dr Brajen Gohain formally inaugurated the academy building in presence of a host of past and present State players.

Subhadeep Ghosh, who has been appointed as fielding coach of India A team, which will tour West Indies next month, along with BCCI coaches Joginder Puri and Manish Bali were felicitated by ACA on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion ACA secretary Bikash Baruah urged the State cricketers to take advantage of the facilities available in the academy hall in order to improve their performances.

Speakers like Joginder Puri, Umesh Sarma, Pranab Sarma, Ratul Das, Madhab Talukdar hailed the effort of ACA in creating such infrastructure for the benefit of the players.

Dr Gohain, while inaugurating the academy said, it has been a loudable effort as far ACA is concerned as in presend day’s cricket academy is mendatory. To nurture and build strong players, they should be given scientific facilities and almost all the equipments are available in the ACA adamy hall.
