Search committee for Arunachal Lokayukta

 ITANAGAR, May 23 - The process for appointment of the Lokayukta in Arunachal Pradesh is moving ahead. The selection committee for the appointment process, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, held a meeting at the State Guest House here today.

Besides the Chief Minister, the meeting was attended by the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Ajit Singh, Leader of Opposition Takam Pario and State Chief Secretary Satya Gopal.

After detailed deliberations, the selection committee constituted a five-member search committee, to be headed by Justice Arun Kumar Goswami of the Gauhati High Court, with the Chief Secretary, the Commissioner (Finance), the Commissioner (Law), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and Senior Additional Advocate General Kardak Ete as members.

The search committee has been requested to submit its recommendation within a period of two months, stated an official release here this evening.
