Book on ayurvedic treatment released


 
 GUWAHATI, May 23 - Swasthya: The Health Solutions, a book on ayurvedic system of medicine, was released at Guwahati Press Club today by The Assam Tribune executive editor Prasanta Jyoti Baruah. Published by Faculty Books at the initiative of a Facebook group, it delves into treatment of different diseases through ayurveda.

In his speech, Baruah said ayurvedic treatment so far has not been able to gain popularity in the State despite immense potential. He hailed the effort of the Facebook group in bringing out a book on this subject, which will prove beneficial for the people. Bedabrata Misra, assistant editor of the Dainik Asom, in his speech, said the ayurvedic treatment is the best of all forms of treatments. The programme was presided over by Dr Bhabesh Das, Principal of Govt Ayurvedic College, Guwahati.

Among others who attended the function were former MP Kumar Dipak Das, North East IT Association general secretary Manikangkan Barua, Multicultural Educational Development Trust’s managing trustee Anjan Sharma, health official Dr Manoj Kr Saikia, Govt Ayurvedic College associate professor Dr Anup Baishya, Dr Dilip Goswami and Dr Manoj Kr Goswami, stated a press release.
