Several boys remain untraced
Correspondent
NORTH GUWAHATI, May 21 – There has been great sensation in an area near Majgaon- Aswaklanta Ferry ghat due to kidnapping of three young boys studying in the local AK Higher Secondary School.

The boys have remained untraced so far since May 3 last. The students, viz., Thaneswar (Bhai) studying in Class IX at AK Higher Secondary School and Prakash of Class VI of the same high school, both hailing from the same suburb were found missing according an FIR lodged by their respective guardians. The other missing adolesent boy was named Prakash. His guardian too registered a missing case in the local police station.

On the other hand, a boy named Mazibur was reportedly missing from Dhekiajuli. However, he was recovered by the local NG Police from a hotel in the College Chowk Bazar at Abhaypur.

According to police, the boy was reportedly sold to the hotel owner by one Sankar, residing in the city. People here doubt that a broker like Sankar may be involved in the child lifting trade and his arrest might throw light on the suspected human trafficking.
