Prajnya Nanda Pathak passes away


 
 GUWAHATI, May 18 - Prajnya Nanda Pathak, founder Executive Director of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and the General Manager, Project of Bongaigaon Refinery Petrochemical Limited (BRPL), passed away on May 17 at a hospital in Delhi. He was suffering from gastro-intestinal diseases. He was 80.

Pathak was among the first batch of engineers to pass out from Assam Engineering College.

After earning BE degree from Assam, he completed ME from Bengal Engineering College and Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands.

Prajnya Pathak was born to late Mahesh Chandra Pathak Choudhury of Barpeta Road and was married to Jonaki Bijay Lakshmi Pathak, who was the daughter of Sahityacharjya Atul Chandra Hazarika. His wife predeceased him. He leaves behind three children and a host of relatives.
