|Miss Scuba Intn’l calls on Union Minister Maneka Gandhi| GUWAHATI, May 17 - Varsha Rajkhowa of Assam, who won the Miss Scuba International 2016 crown held at Sutera Harbour Resort in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia in November, 2016, recently called on the Union Environment Minister Maneka Gandhi in New Delhi.

The reigning Miss Scuba International held discussions with Gandhi on a wide range of issues concerning environment protection including ocean conservation and preservation, shark finning, which was banned globally in 2007, among others. This was stated in a press release.
Varsha has contributed considerably following her win in Kota Kinabalu as an ambassador to promote the diving industry and marine life in the global front in the recent past and is now expected to work closely with the Indian Government and NGOs to stop shark finning in the country.
Based in Pune with her family – father, mother and elder sister – Varsha, an environmentalist by profession, is a multiple talent – a model, international grade dancer, choreographer, national level swimmer and a certified scuba diver.
