Rongjali Bwisagu celebrated

 DIPHU, May 16 - Dularai Boro Harimu Afat, a Bodo cultural body observed the 2nd Rongjali Bwisagu in both East and West Karbi Anglong recently.

Amreng locality’s Member of Autonomous Council, Rina Terangpi, inaugurated Ramthepi Open Stage as the chief guest and addressed the open session. Kapili area’s Member of Autonomous Council, Pawan Kumar Rai was present as guest of honour. The meeting was chaired by Brojen Basumatary, an acclaimed educationist. Other important dignitaries present in the session were ex-BLT chairman Santanu Basumatary, Honsing Terang, and student leader Tanuram Daimary.

Speaking at the meeting, the Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tarendra Brahma said that each Bodo person will have to take the responsibility of the development of their own self and community as well. He also assured the people of Ramthepi locality that he will pursue their genuine grievances at the appropriate level.
