Staff Reporter GUWAHATI, May 16 - The National Dengue Day was observed by District Health Society, National Health Mission, Kamrup Metro, with the support of the State National Health Mission at Guwahati Refinery High School at Noonmati here today.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Director of Health Services, Kamrup Metropolitan, Dr Ganesh Saikia said that the Noonmati area is highly affected by dengue every year as many occurrences are reported from the locality.
He said the Kamrup Metro district is most dengue-endemic district as 90 per cent of all detections in the State were reported here last year.
Joint Director of Health Services (Malaria) Dr Umesh Phangcho also spoke on the occasion.
