Sivasagar 2nd in district-wise HSLC result

 SIVASAGAR, May 15 - Sivasagar district came second and achieved 70.08 percentage in district-wise performance in the HSLC examinations, 2019, results of which were declared today.

In Sivasagar district, private schools showed far better results than the government schools due to many factors such as increasing support of resourceful section of people to private schools, controlled (strained) results of the private schools, healthy student-teacher ratio and close monitoring of teaching activities by the owners of the private schools . Two rank holders from the district are Debashree Saikia (8th) of Gaurisagar Sankardev Bidya Mandir and Archita Dowerah ( 9th) of St Joseph’s School, Moranhat.

In Sophy Marcy School, all the 33 students secured 1st division, 22 of them got distinctions, 6 star marks; in Adarsha Vidyalay, 4 got distinctions, 5 star marks, 17 1st divisions; in Sivasagar Govt HS , 8 got distinctions, 7 star marks, 41 1st divisions; in Godhula Brown Memorial school, 3 got distinctions, 7 star marks, 38 1st divisions; in Fuleswar Girls’ HS , 3 secured distinctions, 8 star marks, 36 1st divisions; in Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, 3 got distinctions, 12 star marks ; 26 1st divisions in Bezbaruah HS centre; in Moran HS, 6 got distinctions, 2 star marks, 18 1st divisions and in Holy Name School 29 got distinctions, 39 star marks and 128 got 1st division.
