GUWAHATI, May 15 - Booth committee meetings of the BJP will be held across the State on May 28.
State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has appealed to the party workers to make the programme a success.
The State BJP leadership has made it mandatory for the party activists to conduct booth level meetings once every month from now on. The meetings on May 28 will be the first following the decision taken by the executive to strengthen the party grassroots. Failure to hold the meetings may invite dissolution of the booth committee, party sources said.
The date of the first booth committee meeting coincides with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio show ‘Mann ki baat’. The PM will address the nation from 11 am on that day.
“The booth committee meetings will be held from 10 am to 12 noon. The ‘Mann ki baat’ programme will be part of the booth committee meetings. The booth committee president and other members will have to attend the meeting. They will have to gauge the significance of the PM’s talk to the people,” a party release stated.
