13 fall sick after consuming mushroom

 BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 15 – Thirteen people fell ill after consuming poisonous mushroom at Tengabari village under Gohpur Police Station last night.

The affected people are Dev Basumatari (60), Faudor Basumatari (55), Bathari Basumatari (45), Surbeli Basumatari (50), Golaram Basumatari (30), Bikash Basumatari (15), Babu Basumatari (20), Ukil Basumatari (20), Pagin Basumatari (08), Bogamula Basumatari (08), Shanti Basumatari (06), Subhashini Basumatari (25) and Ranju Basumatari (06).

They have been admitted to the Lakhimpur Civil Hospital. The condition of three persons is said to be critical. According to information received here, Dev Basumatari collected the mushroom from the jungle.

It may be mentioned that two children had died after consuming poisonous mushroom near Gohpur town a few days back.
