Protest staged over deaths of Richard, Dana

 IMPHAL, May 14 – Students of GP Women’s College here today staged a sit-in protest against the recent death of Manipur student Richard Loitam and Meghalaya student Dana Sangma.

Decrying the gruesome and inhuman killing of Richard, in Bangalore on April 18 and death of Dana Sangma, a student of Management in Amity University, Gurgaon, Haryana, on April 24 under mysterious circumstances, Shillong Manipuri Students’ Union (SMSU), Shillong also organized a sit-in demonstration at Don Bosco Square, in Shillong on Sunday.

Last evening, North East students of Mumbai paid homage to Dana Sangma and Richard in a programme organised by Bharatiya Janata Party’s North East India Sampark Cell.
