Rishideep, Prasurjya winners Sports reporter GUWAHATI, May 13 – Rishideep Bordoloi of Delhi Public School, Duliajan and Prasurjya Das of Shrimanta Shankar Academy won the Jayanta Kumar Borooah Cup in Bishop and Pawn Group respectively. Rishideep scored 7 points out of seven rounds and Prasurjya scored 6.5 points to be champion in Bishop and Pawn group respectively. In Bishop Group Amlan Mahanta scored 5.5 points and got second position. Piyush Upadhyaya also scored 5.5 points but was placed third according to their tie-break score.
In pawn group, Satabdajit Sarma Baruah of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Rajesh Kalita Aryan Sonowal and Manthan Kashyp Datta scored 5.5 points each and placed second, third, 4th and 5th according to their tie break score. Don Bosco School was adjudged Best School. They scored 22 points over all.
