Manipur HSLC, HSSLC results out

 IMPHAL, May 13 – Results of High School Leaving Certificate Examination and Higher Secondary Examinations 2012 in Manipur have been declared here last evening.

Chandam Achouba Singh, a student of St Joseph’s School bagged the top position in this year’s matriculation examination with 471 marks.

The second and the third positions went to Don Bosco School’s Langjing Chingkhei Wangjam, who got a total of 469 marks and Maibram Valentina Devi of Little Flower School Imphal (467 marks).

A total of 21,147 students including 7,051 first divisioners, 12,654 second divisioners and 1,442 third divisioners passed of the total appeared students (30,050) with a pass percentage of 70.

Like the previous years, male students outnumbered the females in their pass percentages.

Athokpam Langlen Chanu of Human Resource Development, Ghari bagged the first position in the Science stream while Laishram Kiyamba Meetei of Enlighten Knowledge Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham and L Thibuni Chachei of Mt Everest College Senapati took the first position holder title in Arts and Commerce streams in the higher secondary examination of the State.
