Assam outplay Sikkim

 GUWAHATI, May 12 – Assam posted a facile 5-2 victory against Sikkim in their opening cluster-VII match of 66th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy at Bhubaneswar this evening.

Informing this Assam Football Association secretary Ankur Dutta said Assam opened the account through Chayaram Basumatary in the 12th minute while skipper Manoj Boro added one more in the 40th minute. Chayaram scored his second goal at the fag end of the first session. Manas Manjit Chetia struck twice in the 73rd and 88th minutes respectively.
