AUXESIS 2015 begins at DUIET, Dibrugarh

 DIBRUGARH, May 10 – The fifth edition of the mega event AUXESIS 2015, an annual techno-cultural and management festival of the Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) got under way on Saturday with a promo social initiative event – ‘Clean the City’.

The festival got off with the cleanliness drive in the campus – the university lanes, market area, etc., and in some parts of the busy city areas like Thana Chariali, Amolapatty, Assam Medical College campus and Paltan Bazar. The drive was led by the student convenor Sandeep Raj Tamuli and other organising committee members. “It is an endeavour to make Dibrugarh a cleaner and beautiful city,” Satyajit Bordoloi, one of the students said.

The promo event was inaugurated in the campus with the opening speech delivered by Dr Mukul Chandra Bora, Director of the DUIET. Faculty convenor Keshab Biswakarma also addressed the students during the inauguration of the promo event. ‘Our place our planet our responsibility. Let us clean and be civilized’ has been chosen as the theme for this year’s event.

The main events will be held in September, the organisers informed.
