MoU signed for Software park in Mizoram

 AIZAWL, May 5 The Union Ministry of Information Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mizoram Government here yesterday for the establishment of a Software Technology Park of India (STPI) in Aizawl.

Information and Communication Technology Minister Zodintluanga represented the Mizoram side while officials from New Delhi represented the Government of India.

The Central Government had informed Mizoram that it would need 3,000 sq ft and three acres of land for the establishment of the Park for which the State Government had temporarily alloted 3,700 sq ft building in Aizawl and five acres of land at Mizoram University campus at Tanhril. Zodintluanga along with officials from New Delhi will visit the two places on Monday next.

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is an autonomous organisation to cater to the needs of the software industry created by the Union Ministry of Communication & Information Technology.
