ACC delegation visits Laos

 GUWAHATI, May 5 – A group of five members of the Assam Chamber of Commerce (ACC) recently represented Assam at a special conference held in Laos celebrating 55 years of completion of diplomatic relations between Laos and India.

In the conference, the business infrastructure and investment possibilities at different spheres, particularly in Assam and North-east, were broadly discussed by the group led by Rupam Goswami, State convener of the ACC.

Other members of the organization who accompanied him were Alakesh Roymedhi, Mrinal Goswami, Ujjal Mazumdar and Khanin Das.

It needs mention here that the conference was organised by Indian Embassy at Laos in collaboration with the Lao Indian Chamber of Commerce. At least 20 representatives of different business organisations and noted businessmen from different States of India took part in the discussions.

According to a press statement, Dr Nam Vialut, Minister for Industry and Commerce, Government of Laos, Indian Ambassador Dr Jitendra Nath Mishra, Habib Mahammad Chaudhury, president of Lao Indian Chamber of Commerce, Khantavons Dalavons, Principal Secretary of Laos and the members from the business delegation of Assam led by Goswami took active part in discussion.
