|‘Fani’ prompts changes in train, ferry services|
GUWAHATI, May 3 - In view of the cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ which hit the Odisha coast today, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced cancellation of a number of trains.

The 12504 Agartala-Bangalore Cantonment Humsafar Express and the 15906 Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express which were scheduled to depart on May 4, the 12510 Guwahati-Bangalore Express which was scheduled to depart on May 5, and the 22501 Bangalore-New Tinsukia SF Express which was scheduled to depart on May 7 have been cancelled, said NFR PRO Nripen Bhattacharya.
Ferry services suspended: In view of the cyclonic storm ‘Fani’, which hit the Odisha coast today, the Kamrup (Metro) district administration directed the Inland Water Transport (IWT) department to suspend all ferry services in the Brahmaputra.
