JORHAT, March 30 – The four-day spiritual conglomeration organised by the Adhyatmik Yuva Sanmilan (AYUS) of the historic Dakhinpat Satra concluded at the Banamalidev Khetra in Majuli on Sunday.

The organisers said that over ten thousand devotees attended various programmes like yoga, self-awareness through the slokas of Gita, conservation of environment and the importance of spiritualism in daily life to contribute to the welfare and progress of the nation.

Renowned yoga teachers like Swami Gyana Vikshu Saraswati of the School of Yoga (Bihar), and the teachers from Art of Living (Bengaluru) provided practical training to about 2000 youths of various locations of the State and the neighbouring north-eastern States for the four days while a former Union Minister in the Vajpayee Government, Swami Chinamayanand Saraswati taught about the significance of spiritualism in daily life.

“Besides, conservation of nature and biodiversity was also stressed upon by another scholar, who invited the participation of young generation to protect migratory and local birds and various kinds of trees across the State,” said Dwipen Sajati, an organiser.

He said that the four-day spiritual conglomeration ignited the minds of thousands of participants who will spread the message of universal brotherhood and unity among members of various religions, communities, culture and creed in the entire north-eastern region.
