4 FM radio channels allocated to Manipur
 IMPHAL, March 28 - Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has allocated four FM radio channels to Manipur. The channels were allocated to the State after the Union Cabinet approved the auction of 683 FM radio channels in 236 cities.

The Union Ministry stated that new and interested entrepreneurs in the State can utilise the opportunity to expand FM Radio and may send their details to the Ministry to fully appraise the latest developments.

Private FM radio since its inception in 2001 has expanded in 86 cities with 323 channels and is expected to generate additional jobs.
