Bhillai Bros, Green Valley advance

 DULIAJAN, March 27 – JCB Bhillai Brothers FC, Chattisgarh drubbed Morning Star FC, Diphu 4-1 in keenly contested match today morning in the 7th OIL India Challenge Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by Oil India Limited here at Nehru Maiden.

Though the players from both side tried their best, they failed to convert any goal during the regulation time. In the tie-breaker, JCB Bhillai Brothers converted 4 goals while Morning Star FC had to contend with one goal. AK Martin, Lachit Bora, Sachin Rawat and Debasish Kundu of Morning Star were cautioned while Evan Joshop of JCB Bhillai was sent off for rough play.

In the afternoon match, Green Valley SC, Guwahati outplayed Southern Samity, Kolkata 3-0. Green Valley’s Salanurudeen Olawale netted two goals in the 8th and 47th minute and Ehemmanual Inioyoh added one in the 83rd minute. Satish Singh of Green Valley and Gour Naskar of Southern Samity were cautioned for rough play by referee Ohiduz Zaman. Today’s match (4th Q/F): Punjab Police, Jalandhar vs Green Valley SC.
