GUWAHATI, March 22 - The Assam Indigenous Muslims Historical and Research Foundation has hailed Dispur’s decision to constitute an Indigenous Assamese Development Corporation.

The organisation urged the government to appoint an IAS officer or an impartial competent person as managing director of the corporation.

“The Minority Development Board should not do any politics in the name of indigenous Muslims,” said IR Hazarika, secretary general of the foundation.
