ITANAGAR, March 18 - Congress president Rahul Gandhi is arriving in the State capital here on Tuesday to kick off the party’s election campaign trail.
He will address a public rally at Indira Gandhi Park here. Besides, the Congress chief will hold a separate meeting with the party workers. Arunachal Pradesh will go for simultaneous elections for its 60-member State Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats on April 11.
The Congress has already announced the candidates for the two Lok Sabha seats in the State by fielding the former Arunachal Chief Minister Nabam Tuki from Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency and former Home Minister James Lowangcha Wanglet from the Arunachal East seat.
However, the party is yet to announce its candidates for the Assembly elections, while its rival BJP has on Sunday released its first list of 54 candidates for the ensuing polls.
