Tiwa bodies
CORRESPONDENT
MORIGAON, March 17 – The All Tiwa Students’ Union (ATSU), Tiwa Yuba Chatra Parishad and three other Tiwa organizations held a talk with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi at his residence on Friday and discussed the imbroglio paralyzing the Tiwa Autonomous Council since last fortnight.

The ATSU alleged that development works came to a grinding halt in the council due to the direct interference of some local MLAS and ministers despite the fact that there were elected members in the council.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation of resolving the issues within a short time.

Moreover, the ATSU team alleged that several elected members of the council were kept in confinement at Brahmaputra lodge, Guwahati, for the last 15 days by a political lobby.

The Chief Minister assured them of initiating appropriate measures in this regard.
