Dima Hasao DCC(I) chief concerned
Correspondent
HAFLONG, March 17 – Nalendra Karigapsa, president, Dima Hasao DCC (I) while expressing his grave concern over the anti-party activities of a section of the so-called Congressmen appealed to all Congress members including the leaders to stay united and to thwart their evil designs.

Karigapsa was addressing a meeting held at the Rajiv Bhawan on Friday in connection with the felicitation ceremony of Youth Congress leaders who have been elected in the recently-concluded Youth Congress election.

He said right from 1952, the Dima Hasao DCC(I) formerly known as NC Hills DCC (I) has been committed to the people of Dima Hasao for the all-round development of the district and has also done remarkable development on all fronts, but during the last few years, particularly during this term of the executive committee of the present Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, development has come to a standstill. The people of Dima Hasao have seen four Chief Executive Members of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council within this term. This is only because of disunity among the so-called Congress leaders in the DHAC. The DCC(I) president said that these (without naming any particular person) so-called Congress leaders are all the time creating disharmony and disturbance in the Congress party instead of doing any developmental works in the district. He further disclosed that two parties comprising these so-called Congress leaders of Dima Hasao have left for Delhi and Guwahati to convince AICC and APCC leaders against the Dima Hasao DCC(I) and to dislodge the present executive committee of Dima Hasao DCC(I) this way or that way.

Therefore Karigapsa appealed to all the Congressmen of Dima Hasao to be vigilant against the subversive designs of such so-called leaders and to save the district from further deterioration.
