Mosquito nets distributed

 KOKRAJHAR, March 15 - The women cell of the Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, celebrated International Women’s Day by reaching out to the underprivileged with succour in the South Kumguri village under Daoliguri Grampanchayat which is about 15 km from the institute and about five km from Kokrajhar town.The programme, under the patronage of the Director, Professor Debkumar Chakrabarti and the Registrar, Chaitali Brahma, started with plantation programme on the premises of the institute. The convener of the Cell, Dr Tanushree Nayak, welcomed all to the awareness campaign and philanthropic programme. The women cell distributed mosquito nets, steel buckets and mugs, bleaching powder, soaps, biscuits, candies and sanitary napkins to 71 families of Kumguri village.

Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project also celebrated the International Women’s Day here at Salakati.
