Tinsukia to face Kamrup in final

 TINSUKIA, March 10 - Tinsukia set up summit clash with Kamrup in the 9th Veterans Inter District and Inter Institutional T-20 Cricket Tournament.

In the second semifinal of the championship at the Katchujan Field here today, host Tinsukia recorded a facile 44-run victory against Dibrugarh.

Opting to use the track first, Tinsukia gathered a fighting total of 140 for seven. Man-of-the-Match Bijon Dutta, who earlier cracked a century against Advocate XI, top scored with 54.

Dibrugarh batsmen failed to chase the target and were all out for 96. Baring Dipen Konwar (38) other batsmen failed to hit form as Sushil Prasad wrecked their innings removing four scalps giving away 11 runs.

The final is slated for tomorrow.

The championship has been organised by the Tinsukia Chapter of the Veterans Cricket Association of Assam where 16 teams featured.
