BJP workers jubilant over Mangaldai candidate
 MANGALDAI, March 10 - The workers of BJP, specially the youth force, under the SC reserved Mangaldai LAC have become jubilant after the last night announcement of a new young dynamic face as the party candidate for the prestigious LAC .

 Immediately after the announcement of the name of Gurujyoti Das, a sincere, dynamic and educated young party worker with good social image, hundreds of workers and supporters of the saffron party came out to the street here at Areng , Karimchowka, Telipara etc., and burst firecrackers, shouted slogans in support of BJP and also performed Bihu dance and songs as a mark of expressing their delight over the decision.

It may be mentioned here that Gurujyoti, a cricket umpire was in the fray for the BJP candidature from the LAC along with Hiren Kumar Das, formerly two times MLA from AGP who had recently joined the BJP; owner of a local LPG dealer and a former party candidate Pradip Das and former RSS leader Ranendra Kumar Sarkar, among others.

Meanwhile, in his reaction given to the The Assam Tribune after getting the party ticket, Gurujyoti considered this achievement as the outcome of his sincere work in the grassroots-level of the party for the last two years as well as growing importance of youths in the BJP.
