11 ULFA cadres surrender

 TINSUKIA, March 8 After Bijoy Chinese, the Deputy C-In-C of United Liberation Front, Asom (ULFA) left the anti-talk group and joined the mainstream on February 21, a group of 11 militants joined the mainstream here today.

In a ceremony held at Police Guest House here, the militants formally surrendered before Deputy Inspector General (Eastern range) Satyen Gogoi and SS Meenakshi Sundaram, Deputy Commissioner. The surenderees are Manoranjan Gogoi @ Kanu @ Mintu Asom of Sadiya Basa Gaon; Dipen Saikia @ Raja Asom, of Nazirating, Digboi; Manik Dohutia @ Meghan Asom of Hulung Bukapathar Gaon; Jayanta Saikia @ Jai Asom of Dhemaji Mesu Gaon; Bulon Moran @ David Asom of Hahkhati Tengapani Gaon; Rantu Moran @ Ashim Asom of Dimoruhola Gaon; Nizu Gohain @ Anadhi Asom of Chabua Jerai Gaon; Hemakanta Changmai @ Jatin Khanikar of Lakhipathar, Deogharia; Dhayania Saikia @ Kansa of Borhullong Milanpur ; Dhormen Sonowal @ Jamba of No. 1 Borhulung and Raju Moran @ Robika of Torani Gaon.
