UDALGURI, March 6 - The entire BTC region is now on a growth trajectory due to the developmental works initiated by the BTC administration, and we are making strenuous efforts so that the people of the region will get more growth-oriented schemes in the days to come. This was observed by BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary while speaking at a function held yesterday at Udalguri town.

Inaugurating the newly-constructed SP office with the help of BTC fund, Mohilary informed that a US-based company has evinced interest in constructing a power project at Bhairabkunda and the necessary paper works and survey of the site has already been completed. “The project is likely to create job avenues for the unemployed youths in the areas,” he claimed.

In this context, he informed that this is a healthy sign for the State that an American company is now exploring opportunities to set up an industry. “We are expecting more foreign companies in the future because the present policies of the BTC have helped in attracting investors,” he said.

The BTC Chief also laid the foundation stones of Udalguri district centre and the office of the PWD at Udalguri town.

The programme was attended by PHE Minister Rihon Daimari and Tridip Daimari, Speaker of the BTC Assembly, among others.
