Guwahati in total control against Karimganj

 GUWAHATI, March 5 – Riding on a 94-ball 103 by Rishab Das, host Guwahati took total control against Karimganj in their Group A Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament for the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy.

On the opening day of the two-day match at the Nehru Stadium here today, bundling Karimganj out for a paltry total of 106 in 27.4 overs, host Guwahati amassed 329 for six in 61 overs before declaring their first innings.

Apart from Rishab, Rajib Kalita (58 n.o), Parthajit Baishya (52) and Abu Naschim Ahmed (32) offered healthy contributions to the Guwahati total.

Earlier, Guwahati medium pacers Abu Naschim, Chanakya Sarma and Sujay Tarafdar destroyed the Karimganj innings with some perfect bowling.
