Assam 168 for 5 against Dibrugarh

 GUWAHATI, March 2 – Guwahati is in a comfortable position at 168 for 5 in 49 overs in reply to Dibrugrah’s 157 all out in the 2-day Senior Inter District Elite Group match at Goalpara today.

For Dibrugarh, Saurav Bhagabati and Salim Ahmed were the main contributors with 60 and 27 runs respectively.

For Guwahati the pick of the bowler was Bhaskarjyoti Barman with figures of 4 for 46. Sujay Tarafdar, Robin Das, Bitop Mahanta picked up 2 wickets each.

Later, the Guwahati innings was studded with a fine 63 from the willow of Gokul Sharma. At stumps, Nishanta Bordoloi remained not out with 30 runs on the scoreboard.

For Dibrugarh, Bipul Gohain picked up 3 wickets for 36 runs and Prasanta Sonowal got 2 wickets for 74 runs. None of the other bowlers could make a mark against the Guwahati batsmen.
