|Demand for tea auction centre in Jorhat|
BOKAKHAT, June 26 – The Upper Assam Educated Unemployed Youths’ Association, constituted recently by trade unionist Bhupendra Nath Bhuyan, ex-MLA, has expressed concern over the rising problem of unemployment.
In a resolution, the association demanded that the Government should set up a tea auction centre in Jorhat called the Upper Assam Tea Auction Centre in the greater interests of the unemployed educated youths of upper Assam from Margherita to Bokakhat. This will lessen carriage costs and benefit enterprising youths. It will also economically strengthen small tea gardens.
