Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha (DSSS) also observed the day. On this occasion, a meeting was held at DSSS bhawan under the presidentship of DSSS president Ajit Kr Barua. At the beginning of the meeting, veteran journalist and social worker Arjun Baruah garlanded the portrait of ‘Kalaguru’. Noted journalist and writer Dhiren Deka addressed the meeting as appointed speaker. TDSS secretary Sarat Chringphukan and journalist Arjun Baruah also spoke in the meeting. Arundhuti Das Baruah and Jonali Deka presented two Bishnu Rabha’s songs and Golok Deka and Silpisikha Kotoky recited poems of Rabha. At the outset of the meeting, DSSS secretary Nityananda Das explained the objective of the meeting while DSSS asstt secretary Abhijit Khatanir offered the vote of thanks at the end.

Tinsukia district committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) in collaboration with it’s Doomdooma regional committee also observed Bishnu Rabha Divas at Doomdooma Bangiya Durgabari Hall. On this occasion, various cultural competitions were held among the students. In the afternoon the open meeting was held which was presided over by AJYCP Tinsukia District Committee president Kon Gogoi. Doomdooma college Principal Dr Prakashjyoti Borthakur, former principal of Doomdooma college Beena Deka, the chairperson of Doomdooma Town Committee Trishna Das Chetia, Doomdooma Jatiya Gana Mancha president Govind Phukan, journalists Manoj Dutta and Abhijit Khataniar attended the meeting as guests. At night a colourful cultural function was held.
