Deepika Hazarika’s writings released

 DERGAON, June 22 – The collection of writings of popular writer late Deepika Hazarika and retired headmistress of Dergaon Girls’ High School was released at a function held at Dergaon Sahitya Sabha Bhavan recently. The meeting held under the aegis of Dergaon branch of All Assam Lekhika Samaroh Samiti was chaired by Pragyashri Arati Saikia and moderated by Bina Thakur Bezbaruah, the president of Dergaon Lekhika Samaroh Samiti while the objective of the meting was explained by Kalpana Borah Dutta, the secretary of the branch.

The collection of Deepika Hazarika titled Deepika Hazarika Rasana Samagra edited by Bina Thakur Bezbaruah was released by Preronamayee Annada Saikia. Delivering her speech, Annada Saikia highlighted the life and activities of late Deepika Hazarika. Bina Thakur Bezbaruah spoke on the life of the popular writer. In her presidential speech, Arati Saikia opined that to develop the talents in creative writing, silence is required and Deepika Hazarika got it well.

In the programme, the general secretary of All Assam Lekhika Samaroh Samiti Suborna Saikia Bordoloi was offered warm felicitation.
