17 arrested in lynching case

 TINSUKIA, June 21 - Tinsukia Police has so far arrested 17 persons for allegedly being involved a lynching case in which Ajay Tanti and his mother Jamuna Tanti had lost their lives on June 7 last. People lynched Ajay and his mother to death on that day accusing them of killing and burying the wife of Ajay Tanti and her daughter of Seopur Tea Estate under Tinsukia police station.

The arrested persons are Siba Garh, Mickel Tanti, Bishal Munda, Bojrang Lohar, Ram Lohar, Anil Samachi, Monesh Bhumij, Anjali Garh, Tara Majhi, Bobita Bhumij, Chand Tanti, Radha Singh, Jina Das, Dipali Garh, Mamoni Garh, Sita Garh, and Prabhavati Garh.

Police arrested them in the Tsk PS case No. 805/19 under various sections of IPC including Section 302.
