Staff Reporter GUWAHATI, June 16 - Four writers from Assam have been chosen for the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2016 and the Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2016.

The awardees for the Yuva Puraskar include Prarthana Saikia, for her Assamese novel Zantadhari, and Bijit Goyari for his collection of poems in Bodo titled Khamflongnai Bubli.
Senior litterateur Harapriya Barukial Borgohain, who writes in Assamese, has been chosen for the Bal Sahitya Puraskar for her “total contribution to children literature”. Rashmi Narzary has been chosen for the same award for her collection of stories His Share of Sky.
