Brahmaputra Board meet held

 ITANAGAR, June 15 – The 55th meeting of the Brahmaputra Board was held here today to review various works undertaken by the Board and to formulate new proposals for the current financial year.

The meeting which was organised by State Water Resource Department (WRD) was attended by all the members of Northeastern States and chaired by K Yadav, Chairman and N Kumar, Commissioner of the Board, official sources said.

The Board has been undertaking detailed planning and documentation of the enormous water resources of the region and related problems and potential which includes preparation of master plan, survey, investigation and preparation of detailed project reports of the multi-purpose projects and of the drainage in congested areas and anti-erosion schemes. – PTI
