GUWAHATI, June 13 - GRP personnel caught another person with morphine today at the Guwahati Railway Station. Earlier on Monday GRP personnel had caught a man from the Rajdhani Express with suspected morphine worth around Rs 3 crore.
“Around 7 am, GRP personnel, while conducting routine check inside coach no. A-5 of Dn Rajdhani Express, recovered suspected morphine weighing approximately 900 grams from the possession of a passenger identified as Ibadul Haque,” GRP sources said. The 48-year-old accused hails from Uttar Pradesh.
“During preliminary interrogation, it was learnt that the offender had brought the drug from Dimapur and was expected to deliver it at Kanpur Central. Further investigation is on,” the sources added.
