Placement cheers for AU students
 SILCHAR, June 12 - The Department of Business Administration of Assam University, Silchar, has registered an impressive rate of campus recruitments for the students in the present academic session.

According to a release issued to the media, a total of 80 students had appeared in the final semester examinations which ended on May 20. Of them, as many as 63 students have been absorbed by country’s top 14 companies which visited the university recently.

It may be mentioned that the department has been rated as the Best B-School in North East India by agencies like the ABP Group, Lokmat and others. Faculty members of the department have expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Examination department of the varsity for declaring the results within seven days of the examinations.

On the other hand, students of the Department of Computer Science of the varsity have also received call letters from various reputed companies during the campus drive. As many as 13 students came out successful during their in-campus interviews conducted by companies like WIPRO and Collabera Technologies Limited.

Faculty members of both departments thanked the companies for holding the campus interviews and selecting the students and hoped in future there will be more such visits. They have thanked the central placement coordinator of the university Dr Debamalya Ghosh for his initiatives in this regard.
