Nagaland Governor writes to PC for Nagas' safety
Correspondent
DIMAPUR, June 12 Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar has written to the Union Home Minister requesting him to examine measures for prompt and effective redressal of the grievances of the people of Northeastern States living in and around Delhi.

The Governor expressed his concern over instances of lapses in delivery of justice and over the perception of persistent social insecurity and discrimination among the Northeastern people, as brought to his notice in a representation by the Naga Students Union, Delhi, on May 29 last.

The Governor also requested the Home Minister to examine the proposal for recruitment of people from NE in Delhi Police and Delhi Judicial Services to ensure that the interests of the NE people are guarded. He further suggested advising the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi to reassure the people of the North East of proper redressal of their grievances.
