|India-Bangla border forces’ meet from today|
NEW DELHI, June 11 - India is likely to raise the issue of illegal migration from Bangladesh and activities of insurgent outfits when the Border Security Force and Border Guard Bangladesh meet for their 48th Director General Level Border Coordination Conference in Dhaka on June 12-15.
The two border guarding forces are expected to work for extension of the crime-free zone in Guwahati and Tripura frontiers of the BSF, besides issues related to border infrastructure as part of confidence building measures, official sources said.
A 10-member delegation of India headed by Director General, BSF Rajni Kant Mishra along with senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and other law enforcement agencies will meet 24 members of the BGB headed by Director General, Border Guard Bangladesh Gen Md Shafeenul Islam.
The last BSF-BGB border coordination conference was held on September 3-8 last year in New Delhi.
