CBI Court convicts ONGC official

 GUWAHATI, June 11 – Ikramul Hussain, Spl Judge, CBI, today convicted CP Parate, Dy Superintending Engineer (P), ONGC, Nazira and sentenced him to four years’ rigorous imprisonment and directed him to pay fine of Rs 10,000.

CBI had registered a case against Parate for submitting forged TA reimbursement bill, hostel bills, bills claiming daily allowances etc. CBI’s specific charge was he had obtained pecuniary advantage to the tune of Rs 60,397 from ONGC by corrupt and illegal means.
