 GUWAHATI, June 8 - Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) is organising a programme titled “Mancha Prabhakor Achyut Lahkar Memorial Natya Xandhiya” on June 12 on the occasion of the death anniversary of the pioneer of mobile theatre in Assam.

The programme will be held at the Sri Sri Madhavadeva International Auditorium at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra from 6 pm. This is the third time KKHSOU is organising this event in the memory of late Lahkar.

InLi Foundation will stage Ejak Jonakir Jilmil written by the late Dr Bhabendra Nath Saikia and directed by Nayan Prasad. NSD graduates Biplab Borkakoti, Manoj Saikia, Papari Medhi and Bhaskar Boruah, Kamal Lochan from NSD, Sikkim centre, Moukan of Bornodi Bhotiyai fame and Dorothie Bharadwaj will perform in the play. Music for the play has been given by Tarali Sarma, while the stage design is by Nuruddin Ahmed.
