Assam paddlers to train in USA

 GUWAHATI, June 5 - Three State paddlers today left for 11 weeks advance table tennis coaching camp to be conducted by the International Table Tennis Federations (ITTF) high performance coach Massimo Costantinin, at the India Community Centre (ICC), Milpitas, in the State of California.

The players were selected by the Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) and will train at the ICC which has so far produced three Olympians who participated for the USA at the London Games in 2012.

The players are Dinku Jyoti Gogoi from Duliajan, Uddipan Sarma from Nagaon and Neelav Krishna Dutta from Jorhat. All the players will be provided free boarding and lodging by the ICC.

Altogether 34 players including the three selected this year have got the opportunity to undergo training at this coaching camp in the last six years, stated a release.
