|CM to attend Environment Day celebrations in Silchar today|
SILCHAR, June 4 - Preparations are in the final stages for the State-level function of World Environment Day in Silchar on Wednesday.
Minister of Forest and Environment, Parimal Suklabaidya informed that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will grace the celebration in the afternoon and share his thoughts about the need for controlling air pollution and environment conservation.
“As responsible citizens, we must realise the need for keeping our environment blossoming with regular plantation. This year we are celebrating the State-level function here to trickle down the message for conservation among the people and Chief Minister will address the gathering on the occasion. We have taken an elaborate plan for observing the occasion beyond the ceremonial chores,” the minister maintained.
