GUWAHATI, June 1 - In view of the COVID-19 situation, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has asked all the academic institutions to make arrangements for admission of students in Class XI based on the digital marksheets after verification of results through the result gazette, which will be provided to each educational institution digitally.
This year’s High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examination results will be announced at 9 am on June 6 and the marksheets will be available on 14 websites and SEBA’s mobile application, which is available on Google Play Store.
In a notification issued on Monday, SEBA stated that though the results of students can also be verified through its official website or the mobile application, in case of any doubt, the educational institutions can refer to the Board for verification.
This year around 3.58 lakh students took the HSLC /AHM exams at 860 centres in February. Though SEBA had planned to declare the results in the first week of May, the results got delayed due to the unforeseen situation following the COVID-19 outbreak. Last year, the Board exam results were announced on May 15.
“Each of the educational institution will be given the digital result gazette in PDF format. Utmost care has been taken to ensure accuracy of the results. The hard copy of the marksheet and the certificate would be provided to the students after opening of educational institutions,” SEBA Chairman RC Jain stated.
